Fear is when you overly care about everything, whereas depression is when you truly do not care about anything. When you break a body part, people will rush to help you, but when you say you're depressed, they run away. We live in a world like that. We are afraid of it.
However, this negative stigma is not helping anyone. I want to teach you a few strategies to help you overcome feelings of depression, sadness, or anxiety because I naturally enjoy helping other people.
People should strive for greater self-assurance, mental stability, and positivity. I strongly believe that everyone should prioritize mental health over anything else because it is one of the current issues that receive the least attention.
1. Journal or keep a personal private diary.
We are taught in society that being vulnerable is a sign of weakness. However, I beg to differ. Being vulnerable is an indication of strength. If you are dissatisfied with your life, you must be acting improperly. Wrong. Every day, not a single person feels like a ray of sunshine.
Writing is the daily therapy I give myself. It's hard to be vulnerable and open about your feelings. People are extremely critical. Write down your thoughts for 15 minutes every day if you want to improve your mental health.
Write in any format, including a few words or a stream of consciousness. Write during times of happiness, anxiety, and sadness. Make a list of five things you appreciate about yourself, five things you want to work on, and a plan for making changes in your life.
2. Be aware that you are never on your own.
Every human being, whether you are aware of it or not, is going through something. Everybody has issues and insecurities. Keep in mind that you're never alone.
At least ten of your issues, I'm sure, are contrived scenarios you came up with out of the blue. Don't let your thoughts control you; learn to control them.
Life is hard. Your soul will be destroyed by self-doubt. But if you can't learn to enjoy life even when it's hard, you never will. Because I can assure you that at least one issue will always arise in your life.
Never take yourself too seriously. You have more potential than you ever imagined. Keep in mind that nothing in this life came your way that you couldn't handle.
3. Step outside and into the sun.
Did you know that exposure to sunlight causes endorphins and serotonin to be released, which can make you feel better? By absorbing calcium and making vitamin D, it helps maintain healthy bones. You are now on your way to a beach in Mexico because it has positive effects on your mental and physical health!
Naturally, I am joking; that isn't always possible. Step outside, take a deep breath, and remember that you can overcome anything.
Exhale doubt and inhale confidence. During your lunch break, go for a walk. Take a hike with your friends or go for a run by yourself. Join a sports club. If you live in an area with little sunlight, you can always buy a light therapy box.
4. Speak well of yourself.
You never really realize how harshly you criticize yourself. Everybody experiences times when they do not feel like their most appealing selves. Being human is referred to as doing so.
Saying "I'm being an idiot right now" is not the same as saying "I'm an idiot." Be more kind to yourself. You should tell yourself, "Damn, I look good today, and there is no one in the world like me, so I must be something special," every time you look in the mirror.
Always remember to greet each day with a smile when you wake up. It is acceptable to fake it if necessary. Regardless, doing so will always make you feel better about yourself. Think of someone or something that makes you happy if you need help smiling.
5. Give yourself a treat and learn to enjoy life.
Since no one survives this life, learn to appreciate it because you only get one. Every now and then, make yourself a priority.
Recognize yourself! You are deserving of that delicious food, so eat it. Take a risk and try something new. Dive into the water. Be fun. Play silly. Be distinct. Do the things that make your heart sing.
I see no problem with doing what makes your heart sing if you are not endangering, ruining, or hurting anyone. Discover your calling. Do something you enjoy because doing so makes you feel alive. Most importantly, stay away from people who make you feel bad about yourself and lower your self-esteem.
6. Podcasts are great.
I listen to podcasts or watch Ted Talks whenever I'm sad, unhappy, or uneasy. I enjoy getting advice from other people, especially when I can't handle my own problems.
Never stop growing because life truly teaches you lessons all the time. By learning from other people's experiences, you can overcome your problems, fears, and emotions.

7. Talk to someone.
It can be difficult to discuss your problems with those closest to you at times. Writing down your feelings can sometimes be insufficient. You don't have anyone to turn to when you feel lost or alone, but I swear there is always someone willing to listen to you.
Try a free crisis hotline if you don't want to see a therapist. Don't be afraid of being judged or ashamed to ask for help. Take care of yourself because, whether you are aware of it or not, your life matters. You matter!
8. Take good care of yourself.
Your body makes endorphins, which make you feel good, when you exercise. Therapy can take the form of exercise. It's a way to honor your body. Exercises that are continuous and rhythmic, such as weight training, swimming, or Zumba, can help alleviate depression. Eat as if you love your body and yourself.
Put aside your concerns regarding what other people think of you. The majority of people don't notice the little things that make you unhappy. Learn to love your body right now because there will never be a time when you will. Focus will be ruined if you think negatively.
Keep in mind that no matter how small, progress is still progress. Therefore, the first step is to set attainable, manageable objectives for yourself.
9. Meditate.
Timeless and Calm are two of my daily favorites for free meditation. You can clear your mind, get more done, and get away from the little things with meditation.
It helps you understand yourself better, alleviates anxiety, and lowers your stress levels. Did you know that it lowers your risk of dying from a heart attack, stroke, or both?
You won't be able to live a happy life if you have a negative mindset. Therefore, every morning, meditate for eight minutes, and every night, meditate for the same amount of time. It will transform your spirit.
10. Be the hero you are.
"I am always here for you if you need anything," people say. Sadly, that is not always the case. Everyone is preoccupied with deciding what to do with their lives. Therefore, promise me that you will not take it personally if someone is unavailable.
The unfortunate reality is that no one will always be there for you. You can only save yourself from depression, anxiety, or suicide if you talk to a therapist or a friend. When you think you can't keep going, but you can.
Keep in mind that if you want the best days of your life, you must fight through the worst ones. You already have everything you need within you; You have to look for it. Discover your courage, compassion, and strength. If you feel better about yourself, you'll glow differently, so what are you waiting for?
